కొన్నాళ్ల క్రితం Times of India - Bangalore Edition లొ ఉన్న Times City అనే పేజిలొ We Got M@il అనే శీర్షక క్రింద వచ్చిన ఒక ఉత్తరాన్ని ఇక్కడ ప్రచురిస్తున్నాను. ఇది కేవలం బెంగళూరు కే కాదు., మన రాష్ట్రం లోని అన్ని పట్టణాలకు,మొత్తం దేశానికీ అవసరమే అని నేను భావిస్తున్నాను...
ఇది రాసినది, భారతీయుడు కాదు., ఒక విదేశీయుడు.., ఐనా ప్రక్క దేశమువాడు చెబితేకానీ, మనకు ఎక్కదుగా....

Don’t replicate America model

As an Englishman who recently moved to your city, I seriously wonder whether any of the ideas expressed to improve the city will add up to creating a Bangalore a pleasurable place to live in. I get the feeling that it is wedded to the American version of a modern city rather than the European model. People always talk about infrastructure in terms of roads and addition of a Metro. How depressing!

In America, everybody drives everywhere. The concept of walking is totally alien. If you take major European city models, the pedestrian is king. Bangalore does not need more and wider roads; more flyovers and underpasses. It needs to look at how it can make the city a pleasure to walk around. For, just walking from my residence to a local shop is a nightmare. The fumes nearly choke you to death. The pavements are nothing more than broken stones and soil. Do Bangaloreans really believe American-style malls are a replacement for open walking spaces with trees and water fountains? They have a place, but there’s much more to a city than shopping malls.

ఐనా మనకి ప్రతీ దానిని ప్రక్క వాళ్ళతొ పోల్చడము చిన్నపటినుంచి వెన్నతో పెట్టిన విద్య.

పక్కింటి శీనుగాడిని చూడు...ఎంత బుద్దిగా, అన్నం తింటున్నాడొ - చిన్నప్పుడు అమ్మ చెప్పిన పోలిక..

ఒరే వెధవా, ఆ రాముగాడిని చూసైనా బుద్ది తెచ్చుకో - ఎంత బాగా మార్కులు తెచ్చుకుంటున్నాదో - స్కూలులో మాస్టారి గారి పోలిక..

నీతోటి వాడైన రవిని చూసి నేర్చుకో, ఎంతో కష్టపడి చదివి, ఎంత మంచి ఉద్యోగం తెచ్చుకున్నాడో - నిరుద్యోగికి తండ్రి చూపే పోలిక.

ఇలా అడుగడుగునా పోలికలు పెట్టుకొని, పులిని చూసి నక్క వాతలు పెట్టుకొన్నట్టు ఉంది మన పరిస్థితి.

మనమే, మన individuvality,identity పోగుట్టుకుంటున్నామేమో...

4. వాహనము నడపడానికి కనీస వయస్సు ఎంత?
5. ఎంత వేగముతో వాహనము నడపాలి?, కనీసం పాఠశాలల వద్ద ఎంత వేగము అవసరము?
6. రోడ్డు మీద ఉన్న ట్రాఫిక్ లైట్లు ఏవరికోసం, ఎందుకోసం, ఎవరు పెట్టారు?
7. ఏ రంగు లైటు పడితె, ఏమి చెయ్యాలి?
8. ముందు వాహనాన్ని ఎటువైపునుంచి over take చెయ్యాలి?
9. ఎక్కడ వాహనాన్ని park చెయ్యాలి?
10. వాహనము మీద ఎంత మందిని ఎక్కించుకోవాలి?

ఈ ప్రశ్నలకు సమాధానాలు మీకు తెలుసా? తెలుసనే అనుకొంటాను. ఎందుకంటె మీరు చదువుకొన్నవారు, విఙ్ఙానవంతులు...

అన్నీ తెలిసిన మీరుకూడా వీటిని ఎందుకు అతిక్రమిస్తారు? చదువు ఎక్కువైందా?
ఇంకా నయం ఆ చదువే ఉంటే ఇన్ని తిప్పలెందుకూ అంటారా?
పోన్లే ఇప్పటికైనా పాటిస్తారని ఆశిస్తూ...

There are four branches in our college.
CSE, ECE ,IT and EEE. Several branches have different strength varying with two of these 120 or 60. MBA and MCA are also prevailing in a successful pace.To be frank every person in our college is talented but they say that 4rth year people are practical, 3rd year people are innovative,2nd year people are surrealistic.

Anyways CSE people in any year are extaordinary.

WHAT'S ON THE ANVIL???

What course to do after b.tech ? Are you all mulling over this issue? No prob! There will be many professionally affable people in your college or in your surroundings. Without any diffidence or hesitation you can ask them. In other case you can yourselves think over pragmatically and come to a decision now itself and work according to that. Your friends may play a prominent role in your decisions. Keep them in mind for friendly advices.

DIYA MISSION

You know! there are also people in our college who has passion towards future and compassion towards poor and needy. This made them establish a prestigious government approved mission to help the needy in every aspect. That was named DIYA MISSION---A LAMP THAT GLITTERS FOR EVER ! Pervasive isn't it? Not only that they have encompassed everyone into the team and dismissed the word called TEAM LEADER from their dictionaries. It's a good transformation which is exotic to welcome. Hope this mission lives until the college lives. No restriction if it lives long to eternity.Bye!
